This Privacy Policy explains how Panama Festivals S.A.. collects, uses, retains and safeguards personal information, and states the company's commitment to collecting and using personal information responsibly.
Background
Panama Festivals S.A.. is a Panamanian Corporation. It is duly registered and is operating in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of Panama. Panama Festivals S.A.. is the sole owner of PanaExpo trademark, as well as www.panaexpo.com and affiliated websites. Panama Festivals S.A.. markets and promotes Panama as a destination for foreign tourism, business, investment, real estate and other Panamanian products and services by way of marketing events such as theme festivals, exhibitions, expositions, fairs, organized tours, as well as operation of PanaExpo websites and other media and any other current or future marketing means as the company deems appropriate.
Personal Information
Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Personal information includes information that relates to their personal characteristics (i.e. age, income, contact and billing information, or information about individual activities and personal interests). Personal information, however, does not include business information (i.e. an individual's professional affiliation, designation or title, product or service offers, business address, phone number, or website), which is usually not protected by privacy legislation. All personal information will be collected fairly, by lawful means and for the purposes as specified in this policy. Panama Festivals S.A.. will not use any form of deception to obtain personal information.
Consent
Wherever possible and /or required by law, Panama Festivals S.A.. pledges to seek consent from the individuals when personal information is collected and used for marketing purposes. Personal information will only be collected by Panama Festivals S.A.. to achieve and maintain the highest standard of delivery of its marketing events, marketing information services and activities. Panama Festivals S.A.. may, as a condition of a free product or service, such as free admission to PanaExpo marketing events, or delivery of other marketing information services, require an individual to consent to the collection and use of only such information as required to fulfill that specific purpose.
Opting-out (unsubscribe)
An individual may withdraw consent to the collection or use of personal information at any time, subject to discontinuation of service related to that consent. Each newsletter or group email will contain a link to allow the recipient to "unsubscribe" from the particular marketing information service carried out by the newsletter or email.

When you visit PanaExpo website as a guest, our server automatically collects limited amounts of standard information for traffic monitoring and statistical purposes. No personal information is collected on guest visits and individuals cannot be identified.
PanaExpo website also gathers and stores information that it collects through cookies, log files, clear gifs, and/or third parties to create an aggregate profile of visitors to the website. PanaExpo partners with other third parties to provide specific services, such as search engine optimization and marketing. For these purposes we share certain demographic information. Third parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information. PanaExpo reserves the right to share with our partners and advertisers and any aggregated demographic information and any other information that is not linked to personally identifiable information.
User Registration
Upon becoming a registered user you will enjoy the benefits of free admission to marketing events and personalized marketing information services tailored to your specific interests. In order to identify your interests and deliver only the most appropriate and useful service to you, PanaExpo registration form may ask you to provide some personal information about yourself. This information will be stored in PanaExpo database as personally identifiable information and maybe used in the future to provide offers and to improve the user-specific content of the site. PanaExpo does not sell or otherwise share users' personally identifiable information with anyone.
Upon registration we will also record the time of user's registration, the IP address, the operating system and the type of browser you are using to prevent abusive or mischievous multiple registrations.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on a user's computer tied to information about the user. As with most websites on the Internet, PanaExpo uses session ID cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. PanaExpo does not use cookies to identify specific individuals. As with most websites on the Internet, PanaExpo website may use log files. IP addresses maybe tied to personally identifiable information to enable our web-based service and to provide security.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
As with most websites on the Internet, PanaExpo website may employ a software technology called clear gifs (sometimes referred to as Web Beacons/Web Bugs) that help PanaExpo to better manage content on the website by informing it what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of users. The main difference between the two is that clear gifs are invisible on the page and are much smaller, about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Clear gifs may or may not be tied to users' personally identifiable information.
In addition, as with most websites on the Internet, PanaExpo may also use clear gifs in its HTML-based emails to let it know which emails have been opened by the recipients. This allows PanaExpo to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. The emails will contain appropriate opt-out (unsubscribe) links.
Communications from the Site, Special Offers and Updates
PanaExpo sends all new registrants a welcoming email to verify user's email.
